The Conference
This Conference aims to bring together physicists working on different
aspects of the mathematical formulation of quantum systems in order to
put together challenges and tools which may help the different
communities to solve some of their respective problems.
In order to focus the efforts, we have chosen three subjects as primary topics:
- The geometrical description of Quantum Mechanics
- The Casimir effect and its mathematical implications
- Quantum Zeno Effect and Open system dynamics
Each of these topics will have a set of general lectures aimed to
present a global vision on the subject and other more technical
seminars.

The Place
Benasque is a beautiful mountain village located 1140 m above sea
level, in a valley in the heart of the Pyrenees, about 140 km north
from the city of Zaragoza. The beautiful landscapes and the proximity
to large ski resorts make Benasque one of the main tourist sites in
the region.
The Center provides many facilities
and an agreeable atmosphere to allow
the participants to carry their work during the meeting.
