    Please, plan your stay in Benasque well in advance. 

    Flying to Barcelona in July requires an early reservation. Public transport is poor, particularly on Sunday. If you are driving, remember that the last part of the trip goes through the Pyrenees valleys. You must count on slow speed.


Organized bus Barcelona-Benasque

The organization of each workshop includes the offer of  free bus transportation from Barcelona to Benasque. Those interested in joining the group, remember to check the appropriate option in the application form or send an e-mail to benasque@ecm.ub.es . Details of time departure are specified in the application form. The trip is definitely scenic but takes 6h.

Public transportation

Coming from Barcelona

The best way of coming to Benasque using public transportation is by bus from Barcelona. A bus departs from Barcelona everyday (except on Sunday) at 13:00 h. It goes to Barbastro where it connects with another bus to Benasque.

The bus station is located 50 meters on the left of the Sants Estació train station when exiting from the main entrance. This is connected to the airport by convenient train.

Tickets are available at the ticket office next to the buses. The cost of the one-way ticket Barcelona-Benasque is around 20€. Ticket on-line are not available.

Coming from Zaragoza

The best way of coming to Benasque using public transportation is by bus. A bus departs from Zaragoza everyday at 9:30 h and at 15:30h (except on Sundays, only at 9:30h ). It goes directly to Benasque.

Coming from Madrid

The best way of coming to Benasque using public transportation is via Zaragoza. Come by train or by bus to Zaragoza and then by bus to Benasque (see details above). Trains get you To Zaragoza.

We recommend you to book in advance either train than bus from Madrid to Zaragoza. Tickets in advance on-line from Zaragoza to Benasque are not available.


Private transportation

If you are planning to come with your own car you can see the most convenient roads in our road map.

Participants driving from Europe should go through Toulouse and enter Spain at Vall d'Aran. After crossing the Vielha tunnel, a road makes a connection to the Benasque valley.

Driving from Barcelona: via Lleida, Benabarre, Graus and Benasque.
Driving from Zaragoza: via Huesca, Barbastro, Graus and Benasque.
