Recent advances have made it feasible to calculate the x-dependence of distribution
functions from lattice QCD, a breakthrough achieved over the past decade through
novel methodologies. In this talk, I will highlight selected key developments in
extracting generalized parton distributions (GPDs) at leading twist and beyond.
These advancements demonstrate the growing potential of lattice QCD to complement
both theoretical and experimental approaches.
