CENTRO DE CIENCIAS DE BENASQUE Quantum Physics with Non-Hermitian Operators (PHHQP VII)2008, June 29 -- July 11
The purpose of this workshop is to bring together experienced as well as young scientists, who are interested in working actively on various aspects of Quantum Physics in which Non-Hermitian operators play important role. The research activity will focus on theories described by PT-symmetric, Quasi-Hermitian, Pseudo-Hermitian, Crypto-Hermitian, and Non-Hermitian Hamiltonians. The workshop will provide an atmosphere of lively discussions and will strive to engender new and productive collaborations. The workshop will include such topics as Non-Hermitian (N-H) optical fibres and magneto-hydrodynamics, quantum dots and quantum computation, dissipative systems and other systems with loss of information, N-H random matrix models and statistical mechanical models, scattering theory for N-H Hamiltonians, Bose-Hubbard N-H systems, Hatano-Nelson models of strongly correlated particle systems, wave guides, N-H cosmological and gravitational models, supersymmetry for N-H Hamiltonians, and N-H quantum field theory. The workshop will involve many areas of mathematical physics, such as non-Hermitian spectral problems, perturbative methods, WKB and numerical methods, Lie algebras, Krein spaces, Moyal products, integrable models, quasi-exact solvability, conformal field theory, and the Bethe ansatz. Participants are expected to arrive on June 29
and leave on July 11, although shorter stays are also possible.
Deadline for applications is March 31, 2008.
